Ada Bible Academy
At Ada Bible Church, our desire is that you're equipped to deepen your relationship with Christ. Ada Bible Academy gives you a chance to dig deeper into topics that will strengthen your faith and help you grow more like Jesus. Each class is a four-week session on an important topic, with practical ways to live out what you learn every day.
This fall, Ada Bible Academy features two classes: one on engaging today's biggest cultural questions with confidence, and one on the theology and practice of prayer. We invite you to join us starting Thursday, October 15, at our East Paris Campus for one of these classes, taught by Ada Bible staff, elders or leaders.
Fall 2026 Classes
Grounded Apologetics: Faith that Holds Up in a Confusing Culture
Instructors: Grounded Apologetics features a different Ada Bible pastor or staff member teaching each week, bringing a variety of voices and perspectives to the four topics.
How do you respond when someone asks how we know the Bible hasn't been changed or corrupted over time, says all religions basically lead to the same place, or claims right and wrong are just personal preference? This four-week course equips you to engage today's biggest cultural narratives with clarity and without getting caught off guard. We’ll cover topics like identity, science, justice, the reliability of Scripture, religious pluralism, and even what to say when someone you love walks away from faith.
Participants will learn a practical, repeatable approach for these conversations: listen to the story someone's living in, understand what they're really longing for, gently show where that story can't deliver on its promises, and offer the hope of Jesus with confidence and compassion.
Prayer: The Theology and Practice of Talking with God
Instructors: Jettie Hanegraaff and Brent Rudin
If God already knows what you need, why pray? This four-week course moves past technique into the theology beneath prayer, building your prayer life on solid ground. We'll explore what it means to pray as adopted children rather than outsiders, how the Spirit intercedes when words fail us, and what the Psalms teach us about praying honestly, including lament and the prayers we don't know what to do with.
Participants will learn practical, Scripture-shaped ways to pray and will leave with both a concrete plan and a theological reason to keep praying when it's hard. Whether you've been praying for decades or are just learning what it means to talk to God at all, this course will help you see prayer not as a task to master, but as a deepening relationship with a God who has already made you his own.
