Administrative / Office Management / Clerical - Part-time

Job Title: Part-Time Administrative Assistant
Location: Hillside Community Church, Grand Rapids, MI
Hours: 16 hours per week (2 days per week)

Hillside Community Church is a Christ-centered community committed to spiritual growth, service, and outreach. We are looking for a dependable and organized individual to join our team and help support the day-to-day operations of the church office.

Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will provide vital support to the church staff, ministry leaders, and congregation by ensuring smooth office operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a heart for serving others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other correspondence
  • Maintain church calendar, schedule events, and prepare weekly bulletins
  • Assist with maintaining church records and databases (e.g., attendance, membership)
  • Provide administrative support for ministry leaders and pastors
  • Help coordinate communications (newsletters, social media, announcements)
  • Order supplies and maintain office organization
  • Greet visitors and provide general assistance as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative or office experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Friendly and professional communication style
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Alignment with the mission and values of Hillside Community Church
